It was the winter of 2007. I was invited to have a solo show at a local coffeshop. One day as I was having lunch at Terra Bella they
told me there would be a snowy owl visiting soon. Voila!
This was the spark that ignited Frigid Days, Frozen Nights.
The 10 paintings were done in a 2 week period . Each one sprang forth after the other with the great snowy owl leading the way!
The blue bowl was the second painting and as you look closely you can see her head dress is a sleeping snowy owl. Upon further scrutiny you will notice the resemblance of "mouse ears". I had just returned from a
trip to Disneyland with my grandchildren. Imagine that!
As the paintings evolved I could see the inner thoughts of my soul,
life and death, fear, reflection, contemplation, dreams and intuition.
The messages were clear and I was just the instrument.
Thank you for your interest in my work.
I hope you enjoy Frigid Days, Frozen Nights
as much as I enjoyed creating it.
